Principal Investigator
Dr. Aulet is an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at University of Massachusetts at Amherst (Primary affiliation: Cognition & Cognitive Neuroscience area; Secondary affiliations: Developmental Science area and the Neuroscience & Behavior program). Most generally, she is interested in how humans integrate perceptual and conceptual information in order to represent the visual world. Her work has primarily focused on how humans perceive and represent 1) numerical and 2) spatial information, and how these two processes are related. Going forward, she also plans to explore how perceptual and conceptual information is integrated in order to make judgments about the physical world (i.e., whether a stack of blocks will fall over). Her lab uses behavioral and neural (fMRI and fNIRS) techniques to study these abilities in both young children and adults.
We are looking for a graduate student, lab manager, and undergraduate research assistants to join beginning Fall 2025!
